WITL: Day 7

Sunday was filled with relaxation, baking, puzzles, playing, repairing, organizing, studying, reading...

addicted to this new show, Total Blackout. we watched this before coming down for breakfast. this show will have you laughing your heart out!

after watching Total Blackout this morning, Tim & the kids did their own. it was fun watching them. Corinne had no problem, Tyler on the other hand was too scared...hahaha.

added new spice liners to drawers & added drawer liners to cabinets...slowly getting the kitchen back in order & organized...

WITL: Day 6

you've probably noticed in some of the pictures this week that our walls in our kitchen are white & blue, we are in the middle of renovating our kitchen. we worked backwards, did the floor cabinets & granite counter tops first. that way we could get the most expensive part of the reno out of the way. well, we were able to get the rest of the cabinets for the walls today. so, we drove both vehicles up to Ikea & boy, were they PACKED! we've not been there on a Saturday in years, which is why i go during the week right when they open. we had to wait over 2 hours for them to cart out our cabinets & a new sofa Tim bought for his office. our kitchen was 3rd in line. LOTS of people buying kitchen cabinets today. we roamed the store & of course, found some other amazing deals in their As Is dept. (i call it scratch & dent).

the day was good, but exhausting. as soon as we arrived home, i changed into my lounging clothes & relaxed for several hours before making dinner. Ty had a friend over & the kids played while Tim cleaned out his office to put the sofa together.

our day consisted of spending 3 hours at Ikea, driving for a total of 1 1/2 hours & ending our day out at Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt. 69 camera photos & 4 cell phone photos...

WITL: Day 5

almost forgot to share today's week in the life. been out & about w/ the fam today & finally sat down to turn the computer on.

so our Friday went like this...

the kids were in weird moods, the man was tired from lack of sleep & i, well, i kinda went w/ the flow. i had my camera w/ me a lot today, but i didn't use it as much as i have been...69 camera photos & 24 cell photos.

worked out this morning. did only cardio for an hour & fifteen minutes, home to get kids ready for school & myself showered. the girl & i flexing our muscles...

shopping...i have only 3 hours to drive up to Ikea (27 miles away off I-95), make a return & pick up a few things & head back home. this is dangerous b/c what normally takes 30 minutes could end up being 2 hours. so, i am always praying to make it back in time to pick up the girl from school

i LOATHE this store! seriously! i will sit in the car waiting for the family while they shop in there sometimes. but i know they carry 200 count fitted sheets i could use to cover Corinne's boxspring on the cheap, until i figure out a bed skirt for her. as you can see, i park FAR, FAR away...

was only in the store for 10 minutes to come back & see there was this big azz dolly near my truck (it was actually closer to it, but i moved it before grabbing my camera) as you can see, my mirror was pushed back and...

two blue paint marks & a very small dent you can only see when you look from the side of it...HIGHLY ANNOYED! OMG! at this point, i put Corinne in the truck, shut the door & if you could only hear there words that were coming out of my mouth! seems there is no safe place to park, huh?!

WITL: Day 4

i love rainy days...it's the perfect time to get things done inside & when the rain goes away & the sun is shining, you can go outside & enjoy the outdoors & gallivant around town w/out having to carry an umbrella. today was all about cleaning...Thursday's usually is my preferred day to clean & do laundry. it's was also a perfect day for Corinne to hang out in her jammies. LOVE!

while i cleaned, she played w/ her activity books, watched a movie & played w/ her barbies. she would even help me do the laundry, but that only lasted a short while. not a lot of photos snapped today, 127 to be exact...

WITL: Day 3

it's day 3 & i'm still going strong with the photos...201 camera & 4 cell. the weather was pretty out, nice with lots of sunshine. it did warm up for us, which was nice. spent a lot of time outside & in. managed to watch the new Muppet movie w/ the girl, but OMG, i passed out off & on during the movie, i was so sleepy. poor baby girl, kept having to wake me up, LOL!

i do share a lot of photos for this project, b/c i use my blog to keep up w/ all my documention.

this is an AMAZING drink for kids & even parties... recipe by Giada, Berry Lemonade my kids love it. i had to make a 2nd batch this week already.

WITL: Day 2

Tuesday went well. i definitely snapped more photos. 203 on camera & 15 on cell phone...there were actually more, but i deleted a lot throughout the day.

LOTS of photos...

up at 515 to workout...my year long boot camp contract ended on the 4th this month. now i am on my own. so far, so good. i usually workout MWF & Sat. but i was too tired Monday & went in Tuesday. glad i did!

very productive day! though, i felt bad baby girl had to spend 4 hours w/ me running errands. i think she was just done, LOL. i'm going to let my kids handle the camera & cell phone photos more often. i loved that Corinne used mine to snap a photo of me & that Tyler has shown an interest in snapping pictures, too. would be another fun project to give them the camera for a day to see what fun things they capture.

WITL: Day 1

it's that time again, Week in the Life April 23rd - 29th, created by Ali Edwards. this is always a fun project. i did this for the first time last summer & enjoyed every minute of it. this year is so different b/c the kids are in school most of the time, so there aren't a ton of pictures of them like there were last summer. so, i am looking forward to seeing the differences between the two once this week is over.

i managed to snap 155 photos...not a lot, but i was slightly unprepared to begin & was playing catch up since i wasn't on the computer much at all over the weekend...

today began at 6am for me...hot tea first thing

me & Ty's teachers have searched for this book for a year, never found...so i had to write a check for it...

printing off recipes to try for next weeks meals (notice the calendar ;))...

WITL: Sunday, day 7

it's the last of the Week in the Life. this has been fun, but i am sure my family will be thrilled to see me put the camera away for a little while ;) at least not carry it w/ me every where i go...LOL. but i am forever thankful of them for putting up w/ me & this projects & working w/ me, too.

woke up this morning to check email...do you ever check out Houzz.com? i love that site. i get a a lot of inspiration & ideas when it comes to home decor & reno's...

i usually do all the laundry during the week so i have my weekends free of chores, but lately, Sunday's have been laundry day, which is fine & has seemed to work out the best.

i LOVE our new washing machine. we've had it for about 2 months now. i've been wanting a front loader for a few years now, but then i saw this LG top loader at HD & fell in love w/ it. i just had to have it. i took a picture of it on my cell phone & sent it to Tim. he did his research on it & we bought it when HD had nice sale on appliances w/in weeks.

we have a variety of veggies growin, some in pots & some in a garden bed Tim built several months ago. the first pic is of greens, b/c i am addicted to salads, second pic is of corn. yes, the man is growin his corn on the cob & of course i have to have my basil...i'm addicted to homemade pesto & capris salads ;)

when i shop, i tend to leave things in the bags for a days before i go through them to put away. i finally took out the clothes that were on clearance at Target. bought two cardi's, white & teal & a pair of beach shorts.

emptied Ty's cocoa puffs into a container so i could clip coupons on the back of the box.

recycling isn't until Wednesday & look, the container is overfilled already...

remember this paper race track from yesterday's post? well, it stayed on the floor overnight & sure enough, the kids went right to playing. Ty even added a car wash & highway (not pictured)...

omelet for breakfast...filled w/ spinach, shallots, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese & cilantro & no i don't eat eggs every day. though i'm sure it seems like i do, lol!

layouts i managed to finish this weekend...

we bought Ty a fish tank 5.5 years ago & have recently decided to empty the tank b/c all the fish we've had over the years were eaten...lol. ironically, during the week my kids stayed w/ my parents while i was in Chicago, my bro took them out shopping at the beach & they came home w/ two hermit Crabs. Tim cleaned out the tank, remove some of the water & set home for their new pets.

i just LOVE this image so much. i wish i had a closet just for all my shoes...lol.

we had so much fun bowling & all three of us were beat out by our four year old, AGAIN...LOL! this day was especially great b/c Tim was w/ us. whenever the kids & i go out & about like this, Tim is working. so it's a true treat to have him spend this kind of quality time w/ us on the weekends & the kids just love having him around when he is not working.

we stopped by Lowe's to pick up a new garden hose; Tim testing it out & loves it. we were relying on a little rain to come our way over the weekend, but that didn't happen.

a big gap between Tim watering the garden & the photo below...i was so engrossed in completing a project that was suppose to only take me a few minutes, but ended up being several hours of hell. none the less, it's completed. i did help Tim put the kids in bed & he read Corinne a book while i laid w/ Ty for a short while before he dozed off...

even w/ two lights on in our bedroom, the lighting was horrible. but i just LOVE the sweet angelic look of Corinne in this picture & regardless of all the grain, i LOVE this photo.

a few things i loved about today...

...family time
...i appreciate being a mama & a wife
...completing multiple assignments at once & some in advance
...i bought a pair of pants in size 10, 2.5 weeks ago & they still fit PERFECTLY! the GREATEST feeling evah (i was a size 12). new goal, size 8 (i used to wear a size 4 back in the day, then i had my beautiful children :) & of course, my love of food)
...the unexpected hug i received from my little man this morning. those don't come by as often as they used to. so, i cherish & embrace as much as i can

WITL: Saturday, day 6

this week has gone by fast...i guess that's what happens when you're having fun :). i can't believe there is one more day of Week in the Life & i've truly enjoyed the process.

today, i snapped 98 photos. a lower number from the past few days...no big deal. it was a low key, productive Saturday in the Liebel household...

gosh, i look like i'm dying...LOL. never knew how i looked while running. need to work on that ;) j/k! me at the Saturday 8:30 am boot camp...it's my weekend workout & i always leave feeling sore for the next two days. we used kettle bells & medicine ball, that included a ton of squats. the last 7 minutes was to run on the road around the loop or treadmill...i opted for treadmill b/c the sun was just too hot for me.

came home to the messy kitchen & baby girl hard at play...

one egg white & one whole egg, scrambled for breakfast...

after breakfast, i showered, printed my photos to start scrappin & was given plenty of snacks while i worked :)

Tim watched a rerun of this past Thursday's episode of Suits & i watched it from my work table. i LOVE LOVE that show. it's so good!!

later on, i was greeted w/ more snacks my baby girl cooked up in her kitchen :) i can never get enough of her smile & her meals...

this was the highlight of my day-my kids were stole my tape dispenser & it resulted into Tyler piecing drawing paper together, to drawing up a race track for his cars (without eyes on them, hence Cars...LOL). i loved how he was explaining the track coordinates to Corinne...

after lunch, Tim got to work on the yard. plenty of mowing & weeding...

he even took some time cleaning the garage a little. that's a job in itself. TONS of reorganizing & trashing of stuff that's been in there for the past 4+ years. hopefully, it will be ready for me to park my suv in there...

on the weekends, the house is a mess...recyclables pile on the kitchen counter...

kitchen stays full until bedtime...

i took many breaks from working on projects today. on one of them, inserted these seat protectors for both the kids...hope this illuminates all stains!

i even bought a cd holder. yes i STILL buy cd's, i'm old school like that. i even have a ton of lp's i will NOT part with & still enjoy listening to them.

FEDEX delivered a nice package of goodies today. can't believe they were out delivering on a Saturday well into the later afternoon...

our play set has another recall. figures! 2 years ago, the first recall was on 1/2 of it, where the swings hung from. now it looks like the other 1/2 needs to be replaced...

i was so inspired by scrappy talk during webinar w/ Wilna, Lisa, Debbie & Amy at Get It Scrapped/Masterful Scrapbook Design, that i broke out all kinds of tools to create w/...my Silhouette has been hard at work today, along w/ my Epic machine & punches :)

Tim was invited by EA Games as a tester of a new game. he was super excited!! i would be too. the man owns every single one of the versions (can't say what it is at the moment), so that was Awesome...

a few things i loved about the day...

...the enjoyment i got out of my kids imagination & how well they do connect & how creatively active they are
...my husband giving me a task on helping him losing weight by reducing his carbs & sugar in his diet...i am SO excited he is willing to work on this & asked for my help (he'll probably dread it...LOL)
...a compliment from one of the trainers i trained w/ in the beginning of my journey of getting fit & losing weight. she mentioned how she noticed a difference in my body & was proud of my accomplishments
...having time creating
...walking upstairs to our bedroom before dinner watching the both of my kids bang on tin cans & tambourines really loud & singing at the top of their voices

WITL: Friday, day 5

so, Friday was bit of a busy day, which started super early, of course. i snapped a butt load of photos & weeded it all down to a total of 199. apparently, i was a little snap happy on this day.

kids getting breakfast...note my 8 year old still walks around w/ his baby blankie...HAHAHAHA!

my protein drink for the morning. keeps me full for a solid 2 hours...i use strawberry's, cinch protein powder, skim milk & chobani greek yogurt. i'm not a milk drinker, hate milk actually, but this is pretty good.

they were super hot, the humidity in the air was just ridiculous. they couldn't wait to get home to cool off...

i some how made my way up in Corinne's bed & passed out for a good hour...LOL. i think my boy snapped this photo...i haven't napped in weeks!

it was a HOT day!!!

we went out to eat, yay. not cooking for me :) i'm not a fan of this place, buy they loved it...

i had their vegan garden burger w/ garlic roasted red peppers & sesame seeds. i ate just the bottom bread b/c it was too much break & got a side of broccoli & of course, a glass of pinot grigio was nice :D

trip to borders to pick up a few books & mags. gonna miss having a big book store in town. i hope Barnes & Nobels makes it's way to F'burg...

home from dinner & shopping. i love my door mat, but i think i want to have one for each season now...

braiding Corinne's hair before bed (makes combing her hair every morning much easier)...

Friday nights are movie/tv nights. i watched Deception w/ Hugh Jackman-HOTNESS & the hubs is upstairs gaming w/ his friends til the wee hours of the night...

a few things i loved about this day...

...eating out w/ my crew
...taking a nap
...Tyler taking the time to play Barbies w/ Corinne w/out putting up a fuss. it was cute to watch him play Ken
...so thankful for having a/c on what i believe was the hottest day of the season so far
