it's time to update the ole blog with a couple of mini projects i've been working on earlier this week. i couldn't turn down the chance to use Laina's new set of stamps and dies she sent me. she is an amazing designer, creator and awesomely SWEET! i've had the chance to work w/ Laina during my term with Jillibean Soup and had the pleasure meeting her in person for the first time in Chicago a few summers ago. so yup, i was all giddy when her goodies arrived at my doorstep.
i have always loved this concept of coordinating dies w/ stamps, it just makes creating fun & easy. the shapes cut out nice and crisp! no jagged or uneven edges to worry about. the stamps are FAB, too. they leave a crisp sharp edge, which i just love! these beauties designed by Laina Lamb can be found at My Favorite Things here.
i used the Accent It - Flags & Tags Die-namics dies and Document It - December clear stamps to create my "Let It Snow" card.
after stamping each circle shape, I layered the two together atop the wooden snowflake. i used a mix of ink color to coordinate w/ the colors used with Lily Bee's Christmas Cheer collection.
the snowflake is wooden ornament from Anthropologie, it's very delicate, but i love the look of the natural look it adds to the card.
the Insert It - 3x4 Insert Die-namics dies and Journal It - Top Ten clear stamps are PERFECT for anyone doing project life or december daily as well as using on your layouts.
i decided to create a little mini album using the two sets (have a serious addiction to creating tiny projects lately, not sure what it is...but i am diggin it...)
i mixed up the clear stamps & die-namics set for this tiny project, which is always fun.
each page was cut using the 3x4 insert die. the front cover was embellished with the 3x4 journaling stamp & die-cut shapes. every insert act as a checklist from our bucket list. i used favorite photos from each of adventure/experience as a reminder of what we did together...
prior to decorating pages, i used the 3x4 journaling stamp on the back of each page. where i will handwrite journaling about each event.
