i'm so behind, like WAY behind! so behind that i didn't realize January had ended at one point. is that bad? lol. it's not like i was swamped w/ anything, except busy taking care of Corinne & Tim when they had the stomach bug... C had it for three or four days, then Tim had it. once C was better, she had attended school for two days and was home sick w/ strep for another four days. now that she is on antibiotics, her appetite is back in full force. i didn't accomplish anything on my list last month, so i am looking forward to getting a LOT done. keeping my fingers crossed since i have not been feeling well at all day. now that it's February, i'm looking forward in to working on finishing up the back splash in the kitchen and painting the walls and wiping down the cabinets. then start my purging process and i can't wait to start this process.
anyway, as i am WAY behind, this months Gossamer Blue kit is packed full of lots and lots of "love"! and alas, the all the February kits are sold out! AWESOME!! i have two projects to share today, the rest will be shared later on this month...
for "my loves" layout, i randomly cut out xo and hearts throughout the page using my Cameo and each 3x4 card shown on the page were embellished with elements from add-on #2 kit and digital files.
to soften the negative space in the background, i backed the busy pattern paper with vellum. really love the subtle look it gives to the page.
my "XOXOXOX" layout uses product from the main kit. i love hears and was ecstatic that the digital files were a variety of hearts. i couldn't wait to cut up all the pretty paper into hearts.
each column of hearts were machine stitched and some were embellished.
my favorite part about this kit were the color combination of teals, reds and a little bit of neutrals. so fun to mix it all together.
