we rescued a dog, a Greyhound to be exact! from VAGA. her race name is Ice Demi. she's retired because her speed has slowed down. she's 3.5 years old & is house broken (i think her dumping on the rug in our family room her first 15 minuets of meeting us was out of nervousness...)
so far, she can be left alone in the house for 2 hours w/out accidents. but i think she lays on our comfy couch while we are gone.. . i'm not diggin that right now.
she's big, long, has a shiny & soft coat that doesn't shed.
she loves to run around in the backyard w/ the kids & they love it, too. she's FAST, like, SUPAH FAST! it's kinda cool & she has amazing muscles...NO BODY FAT! wouldn't that be nice? damn!
she's also a jumper. she can jump a 4 ft maybe even a 5 ft fence. thank God we have a 6 ft fence or she would not be living here.
we have three XXL pillows for her & they are NOT XXL. i think it's hilarious how big she is.
she loves to be beside you while standing or sitting. when i am in my studio, she lays right behind me as i stand working, i'm always worried i'll trip over her, which i've done a few times already.
Crush, the cat, has been territorial w/ her. hissing at her & chasing her on the first night. as of yesterday, she now chases Crush, ha!
she's a walker! i walk her twice a day, right after the kids are on the bus & sometime around noon or later for 30 minutes... all this walking & trips to the gym, i should be skinny by spring!!!
i named her Nahla (from Lion King), b/c well, i think it fits her
the kids love her, Tim loves her...
she's growing on me
