before the kids & i head off to New York this morning, thought i'd share some project life pages i've created using Lily Bee products. Melissa created a project life blog post at the Lily Bee blog last friday sharing both of our creations. i love how she incorporates the journaling index cards on her projects...so fun!
when my dear, sweet friend, Linda, talked me into starting project life i was kinda of hesitant. but once i started stocking up on the supplies, creating my first few weeks worth of pages & talking a few local girlfriends into joining me in the project, i was hooked. that being said, i am SO FAR BEHIND! ha. but i am not going to let that take away the enjoyment of continuing this project.
i started out doing it weekly & i have found that it is quite the labor intensive project. i realized keeping it up to date on a weekly basis was not for me. instead, i update by month. i spend one day prepping the photos i want to use, getting an idea of what size to print them for my insert pages, etc and the i print them all using a not so high quality print...i print from home. another day i spend creating all the pages for that month. i don't worry about all the photos being adding to the pages in order...i like to keep it simple. i don't spend straight hours on the project, but more or less i spend bits of time throughout my day on the project. the family goes nuts if i don't cook every meal for them or go for a car ride to the store or visit some friends, ha!
anyway, enough chatter, you can see my pages below. i created the month of May specifically using Lily Bee products for the blog post seen here...
a lot of good things happend during the month of May...(click on images for a closer look)
Mother's Day w/ the fam...love my son's attitude in the bottom photo so much & i love how he's super happy in the upper photo, LOL!
Corinne turned 5 this month & she had her birthday party at Chuck E Cheese (UGH..i dreaded that day, but she had the best time as well as her friends)
we installed our wall cabinets...a huge transformation & we are LOVING IT!!!
Corinne also graduated from Redeemer Lutheran Christan School...2 years of Preschool has been so much fun for her!
yes, i even added some Lily Bee cardstock stickers & bag of bits die-cuts to my kids documents & drawings...hehehe.
if you could have seen how proud i was of my boy came home w/ this letter from his school for acing his reading SOL test...OMG!!! so so so proud!!!
my favorite is when my kids, Tyler as of now, writes notes like this. it's classic & something i can't wait to show him when he has his own kids to raise...LOL.
well, that is it. my project life, for the month of May, in a nutshell. it was a good month.
thanks for stopping by, have a great week!
xo
