it's been four years since there was a visit to the beach with Tim's side of the family & instead of venturing north to PA, we ventured south to Hilton Head Island. i've never been there, but have heard a lot about it & i feel inlove w/ the area.
we stayed at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort. there was so much to do w/in the resort, you were never bored. our condo building was right on the beach and our view from the 2nd floor was beautiful. we spent 7.5 days of total beach bliss, southern style. loved every minute of it. we did a lot to keep us busy, too.

the boys had fun catching fiddler crabs. Ty accidentally dropped the bucket & it was hilarious watching the crabs scatter about...but we caught them all, lol.
during our kayaking tour, we spotted two bottlenose dolphins. it was mesmerizing seeing watching the dolphins and how close they would come to us...
five of us biked 10 miles on the isle & did some shopping near the Pope Avenue area...
it was couples night out at The Jazz Corner. that was so much fun. O.M.G. the food there is just exquisite...my word. i was in heaven. i had the jumbo shrimps & sea scallops that rested on a bed of cheesy grits...SO SO SO GOOD!!! grits & shrimp together is a first for me!! another first was white anchovies that was served w/ the roasted garlic bruschetta...very interesting taste, but good.
a birthday was celebrated...
plenty of pool time w/ the younger girls...
Corinne & her cousin, Lizzy, put on a little show for a few of us, which was super cute...
beading at the pool...
Ty boogie boarding...he's like a little fish now. his new favorite thing to do...
a visit to Sea Pines Salty Dog for lunch & plenty of beer :)
a nice view from the Harbour Town Lighthouse...
Tim & Corinne catch & release of tiny fish in the ocean...
the last evening together was spent at a lovely little resto called Sea Grass Grille, which was amazing!!!
it was a fabulous time & a much needed getaway from our every day routine. i can't wait to go back again in two years.
