as usual, Christmas went by way too fast, but it was amazingly fun watching the kids get so excited opening their gifts. that is probably my most favorite memories of Christmas...i cherish it the most. i didn't snap a lot of photos this time around. i was practically on the floor watching them unwrap & completely forgetting to unwrap my own gifts...lol. (please excuse the grainy, not so lovely photos...i could've used my flash but i didn't)
i didn't want to cook a big meal like i did Thanksgiving, so i kept it SIMPLE & splurged on Honeybaked Ham i picked up locally...YUMYUMYUM!!! it was well worth it. the only cooking i did was steam some broccoli but that didn't get eaten b/c of all the cheese, bread, chutney & bowl of pomegranate that was on the table. yes, it was a free for all dinner. everyone just grabbed what they wanted & ate til their hearts content. my kinda of holiday dinner w/out being in the kitchen for hours.
it's already Thursday & i've removed all the holiday decor, packed everything up, ready to go back up in the garage attic. this is the first for me. i usually wait until the first week of the New Year. but i couldn't resist. i wanted my family room back! the clutter was getting to me & was not liking the amount of cat hair on my tree skirt, that took FOREVAH to remove!
back tomorrow...
