all summer long & even now, Ty spends his time outside riding his bike (a wannabe BMX bike that is). he's been doing all kinds of tricks. Tim has even pulled out wood pieces to create a make shift ramp for him & his friend, Hunter, who visits his grandpa all summer long & now every other weekend.
i was a nervous wreck when he started this love of bike riding. he has had a ton of bruises on his legs & even i places where we've made him take a few days off so he could heal properly. i am always thinking about the emergency room when i see him doing tricks. scares me. but he is a boy, tough & all & he is not afraid to try new things. he even has a bunch of flick trix toys & dvd's he watches, which is where he has developed a personal style for graphic tees & even wearing his baseball caps backwards...LOL. he can beak down the parts of a bike & know the names of them all. it's all foreign to me...LOL, but so cool to hear him talk about it & what their purposes are. he even has a pair of Tony Hawk sneakers he just LOVES to wear & ONLY wears them to school & sometimes on the weekends.
has been wanting a skate board for the longest time & i don't have the courage in getting him one, is that bad or what?! maybe later down the road. he has also been wanting a "real" BMX bike. we haven't bought him one only b/c he just received his current bike as a Christmas gift last year. however, w/ that said, we are considering gifting him a BMX for his birthday coming up next month.
one day afterschool, i spent some time outside w/ Tyler riding his bike, taking a TON of pictures of him doing all sorts of tricks. he LOVES it! get even reminds me to post them on my blog...

Cheers :)
